01
Start with time at your stay.
Instead of filling the itinerary before choosing a place to sleep, think about what you would enjoy doing at your stay. Read, look through photos or talk without rushing. Simple things can make a memorable break.
Bring just a little: a book you have started, or a small notebook. Choose something you rarely have time to enjoy at home.
02
Keep outings small.
Go for a walk or a meal without trying to see everything. Enjoy one thing, then come back. If it rains, changing your plans can be part of slowing down.
The spaces available to you depend on the property and room you book. Check which are private and which are shared before imagining your stay.

03
Set your departure time first.
Keep the morning open, but work back from check-out when getting ready. Taking things slowly does not extend your booking, so confirm when you need to leave.
On the way home, think about what you might do next time. A place you did not visit can be a reason to return. You do not need to see everything in one trip.
One way to spend a night.
